1. What does the RSRP do?
The key role of the Rail Safety Regulators Panel (RSRP) is to provide advice to the Safety Standing Sub-Committee (SafetySSC) and National Transport Commission (NTC) on rail safety regulatory issues to help enhance safety and regulatory outcomes consistent with the co-regulatory framework.

2. Who is on the RSRP?
The RSRP consists of a member of the regulators office from each jurisdiction, these are:

3. How often do the RSRP meet?
The RSRP meets four times a year. Each meeting is hosted by a different jurisdiction on a rotational basis.
4. Can I attend the meetings?
The RSRP meetings are closed meetings to rail regulators.
5. Can the RSRP change policies?
The RSRP is not a policy setting group. It has the responsibility to provide input and recommendations in relations to policies and legislation relating to Rail Safety but cannot affect policy change.
6. Does the RSRP consult with Industry?
Yes. The RSRP consults with Industry formally through the Rail Safety Co-Regulation Group (RSCG) which meets three times a year. Each regulator also meets with the relevant industry people in their jurisdiction when required.
